There is so much information in the media now alerting us to the negative health implications caused by a lack of sleep, and that can fuel our anxiety and frustration,  but very little help available to resolve the problem.

Our clients come to WyeSleep feeling they will never get a good night's sleep, and their insomnia must be damaging their health!

Every client is offered a 90 minute assessment, giving you time to explain your problem and tell us how you have tried to resolve your sleep difficulty in the past. 

We then ask you to complete a sleep diary,  to give us an accurate picture of your current situation. 

After this, we devise a bespoke treatment plan. 

Treatment time varies, and can be anything from 2 -6 sessions depending on the nature of the problem.


 If  symptoms of a sleep disorder are identified, some further investigations can be arranged and a report can be sent, with your consent, to your GP, requesting a referral to a specialist centre, if appropriate.

 Although WyeSleep is authorised to prescribe medication, it is rarely used .  

All treatments are evidence based and clients soon become their own sleep expert, giving you long lasting  success.

WyeSleep can support clients on a 1:1 basis with a wide range of sleep issues from insomnia, excessive snoring, jet lag 

or sleep-disturbed children for example.

Clients range from the age of one year to older adult.

Following a comprehensive sleep assessment, a bespoke sleep plan is designed to address the issues, working to improve the clients sleep.

WyeSleep can offer group sessions which will explore the importance of sleep for good physical and mental health. 


This session also gives delegates strategies to improve their own sleep habits.

Lunchtime sleep workshops are a popular  and valuable addition to any  workforce wellbeing  strategy.

A consultancy service is available for companies, to help their employees  understand the importance of sleep in maintaining good health and productivity.

Sleep deprivation can be the cause of workplace accidents, low productivity and an increase in work related errors.


What to expect

Initial assessment appointment 1-11/2 hr

During this initial appointment, a full history of the sleep difficulty is taken, to gather an understanding of the possible causes of the problem. 

We will then work together to formulate a bespoke plan to ensure we meet the client's needs.

In the same way as exercise can take time to see results, changing a sleep pattern may involve a change in routine or habit, but as the plan is evidence based, the results can be very rewarding with a little perseverance!


WyeSleep does not encourage the use of benzodiazepines or Z-drugs to aid sleep initiation and as such, will not issue prescriptions for these medications.
